I want to compare two diagnostic test with 3 different categories (mild, moderate severe). what statistical analysis could I used?

I want to compare two diagnostic test with 3 different categories (mild, moderate,severe). what statistical analysis could I used? should I join the categories into 2 and use chi square? thanks
