Measurement of the water paleo-temperature using the oxygen isotope on benthic foraminifera test, is it possible?

Can we use the Oxygen isotope on the benthic foraminifera test (e.g Orbitolinids) to determine the paleotemperature, in addition to Rudists and oysters?
