How can I remove CaO from CaB6 blend? leaching ? or any other good ways?

After the synthesis of CaB6 from an elemental stoichiometric mixture of Ca and B in argon flowing vacuum tube furnace, XRD shows the CaO peaks as well. How Can I reduce/remove CaO ?
