I am using Vasp for DOS calculation of MnO2, but when I run DOS, the fermi energy level is not at zero although MnO2 is semiconductor ?

Most of the examples that I have performed, fermi energy level is at 0 and there shows no spikes in DOS but in case of MnO2 I am getting spikes why ?
