How to increase the NEURON simulator accuracy for NMNIST dataset?

I am converting MNIST dataset into Neuromorphic MNIST(NMNIST) dataset, but my SNN model is giving very poor accuracy (around 35%). Which parameters do I have to fine-tune to get better accuracy?
