Is it possible to model the crystallographic orientation by Cellular Automata?

In microstructure models using CA, I have not yet found a deterministic relation for the grain orientation. It seems they just use random orientation for each grain.

Please Guide me to know : How to export an excel file of roughness of many points from AFM (SPM) resulting images?

I have some images taken by AFM from a surface, my purpose is to find coordinate of any point with its roughness. Format of files is *.mif and the recommended Software is DME-SPM
