I am interested in techniques which enable binding of DNA to surfaces. Are you studying the stability over time of selenium vs thiol based SAMs ?

I gather that Thiols are readily oxlidzed on gold surfaces and are therefore kinetically rather than thermodynamically stable. Is this also true of SAMS based on selenols ?
