Can anyone tell me if the bacteria inoculated by i.p. are eliminated with urine or feces?

I need to perform a murine sepsis model with P. multocida and M. haemolytica. But for this, I need to know if these bacteria could be eliminated by urine or feces in order to avoid contamination...
