Can the Single partcile icp ms measure the shell thickness of iron oxide nanoparticles stabilized with dextran ?

I am confused about the measurement of iron oxide nanoaprticles , their core size is 8 nm but the whole size is 30 nm.. so should i get 8 nm or 30 nm using sp icp ms ? if anyone have any idea..
