Why my XRD peak shift to larger angle after annealing under the reducing atmosphere?

I have Ni nanoparticles supported on carbon annealed at 500 C for 2h under the reducing atmosphere has shifted to 3 degree larger angle. Before annealing there was no shift in 2 theta is observed...
