Are there someone working on HPRT mutagenesis assay? How to treat cells with HAT media? one time treatment or everyday and incubate for 3 days?

I am very confused about whether to add HAT media to cells once and incubate for 3 to 4 days or to add HAT media to cells every day for 3 to 4 days?
