Does anybody know the percent of Nitrogen mineralized in tropical soil under field conditions ?

Would like to know how much N is mineralized in tropical soils annually ? Approximately 0.18 % total nitrogen, Organic carbon - 2.2 %. Average temperature 22-30 C.

Can microbial activity / soil respiration be measured in soil which is air dried and kept for some months in plastic containers ?

Few months back we have collected soil samples form our experimental site and preserved after air drying. Can we test the soil respiration of these soils ? Do you have any work related to this...
