Can i use D-aspartic acid (ReagentPlus, 99%, Aldrich) as one of the reference material in analyzing aspartic acid racemization with RP-HPLC?

Sigma-Aldrich's catalogue number = 219096. There's no explanation about whether it can be used as reference material nor about the suitability for HPLC.
