We are trying to isolate what we believe to be intracellular alpha-proteobacteria from plant cells. Are there special media to culture these bacteria?

We have tried the standard media including PDA, MEA--and most recently glucose (0.1%) with Murashige and Skoogs Salts base added. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Will you examine whether plants associate with microbes that increase their tolerance to stress and adapt them to the extreme conditions?

The microbes could be aiding the plants in the high altitude habitats. It could be interesting.
