Most 3T MRI vendors quote gradient strength (≥ 60 mT/m for 70cm bore) although one vendor lists vector amplitude of 78 mT/m. What is the difference?

Gradient strength vs gradient amplitude. Is a 3T scanner with reduced gradient strength but higher amplitude as good?
