TiB2-SiC composites synthesized by MSR and sintered by HP. I've tried to cut them using a laser but it's not possible, any idea how to do it?

MSR, mechanically self sustaining reaction. When laser is used small explosions are observed, we think that they are a by effect of the temperature.
