I would like to extract second order statistical texture features from the approximation coefficients of the 2D-DWT.

Is it possible to calculate energy, contrast, homogeneity, etc by using approximate coefficients of 2D-DWT and the histogram of LL Band image of 2D-DWT. I didn't use GLCM for some reasons.
