How can I intercalate graphite by FeCl3 with out damage the graphite sheets?

Hi everyone. I have some merck graphite to synthesize graphene. I want to use intercalation procedure to produce graphene. how can i intercalate graphite by FeCl3 without damage the graphite sheets?
