What is the difference between chemical and pythochemical analysis? Why must both the aqueous and alcoholic extract be made?

I'm currently studying on the pythochemical analysis of Lepisanthes alata for its antimicrobial properties. Please help me out with relevant facts and journals. Thank you in advance :)
