Do I need to add glucose to RPMI 1640 for eosinophils culture in a 12 well plate?

I'm trying to culture eosinophils (from mice) in a 12 well plate in order to extract all proteins after 24h. I use RPMI 1640 without glucose. do I need to add glucose? What does everyone else do...
