What would be the maximum voltage one can apply I/O curves in hippocmapal slice electrophysiology using MEA systems???

We could not find EPSP's or population spikes with the protocol mentioned 3 V stimulus using MEAs from multichannel systems. Anybody who has experience with MEAs, please suggest us in this regard....
