Is there any data that points to a time limit for an Arterial line (0.9% NaCl connected to pressure tubing and flushed) can be "set up" prior to use?

This question has come up in our Surgical Services Department to have these processes in place for trauma patients who emergently come to the Operating Room.  Any assistance in locating data...
