In demotic Greek is it normal to say h)ĝen or h1gagen to narrate the simple fact of leading someone to a place in past tense?

In ancient Greek, the imperfect is more common than the aorist for this verb, even when the movement is accomplished without any problems or events narrated before the movement is finished....
