Sample storage and preparation for analysis of Cmic and Nmic by Chloroform-Fumigation-Extraction method?

Can we store moist soil samples at -18 °C for analysis of Cmic and Nmic by CFE and use them for fumigation deep frozen or is any sample preparation (e.g. adaption to room temperature)...
