Molecular mechanism for less effective and tolerability of ACE inhibitors on black population?

ACE inhibitors are less efficacious and tolerant for African origin hypertensive patients. Does anyone know  the molecular mechanism  behind this? i.e  is it related with low rennin release or beyond?
