In case of shrinkable soils. how the height of solids can be calculated for consolidation as the soil sample shrinks in horizontal direction too??

As per the IS Code the formula for height of solids, Hs= Md/GAYw where Md= dry soil weight after test, G= specific gravity, A= cross section area of soil sample Yw= Unit weight of the sample

How to remove air bubble from bentonite or kaolinite slurry mixed with water more than liquid limit?

As I want to consolidate this soil using the electroosmotic consolidation phenomenon, otherwise it may resul in an error in case pore pressure measurement
