What is the best method to extract bacterial DNA from a swab containing mixture of G +ve and - ve bacteria using Qiagen kit?

We have the Qiagen kit but we dont know the exact order of adding the buffers (ATL and AL) and other ingredients if we have a mixture of bacteria
