Can T cells de-differentiiate?

Hi, Does anybody know whether effector or memory T cells can de-differentiate into naive T cells, rather than just become exhausted or undergo apoptosis? Thanks

Anybody know what PD-1-negative CD8+ T cells are doing in tumours?

I understand the role of activated/exhausted CD8+ T cells expressing PD-1 in tumours but just wondered if anybody knew of any functions attributed to CD8+ T cells that don't express PD-1?
