What is the acidity nature of the mixture of starch (polysacharrides),diluted HCl and Caso4?

Cassava starch hydrolyzed with hydrochloric acid, addition of anhydrites (Caso4) to the mixture . What will be the effect in PH scale meter? Will the PH value increased or decreased?. I need help...
