Does anybody know of any small molecules that can be use in vitro to stimulate the insulin signaling pathway, but not through the insulin receptor?

I am looking to stimulate the insulin signaling pathway in a way that does not involve the insulin receptor. Thank you in advance!

Does anyone have experience differentiating inducible CRE mice (CreERt2) mice from straight CRE mice using PCR?

I am looking for primer sets that can differentiate mice containing inducible cre's (ERcre's) from mice containing normal cre's using standard PCR genotyping.
