I tried to synthesis nickel oxide nanoparticles from nickel nitrate and took xrd.Then I observed that the peaks of nitrate also appears in xrd.why?

Usually nio does not have a peak between 50 and 60 degrees.But my xrd shows a high intensity peak there.Can anybody please help me
