Why can't I see band in gel agarose while 260/280 ratio is 1.8 in Nanodrop?

Hi everyone I am trying to extract DNA from soil, 260/280 ratio is 1.8 in nanodrop, concentration is 587 ng/ul. but I can not see the band in gel agarose. Thank you in advance
