How to convert the Phenolformaldehyde into nanocarbon by pyrolysis in inert environment?

I want nano carbon from phenolformaldehyde by heating it up to 1200 OC in inert environment, generally it gives carbon under same conditions, but I want to get nanocarbon from it.
