I want to understand why do we need the glass transition temperature? Also i want to know how is dwelling temperature and glass transition related?

My setting is a 2 cycle process where it heats up to its dwelling point. cools down and finally heats up to 250 DegC

I have done my DSC experiment however it seems that my results are slightly off from expected. Any reasons why DSC results can be inaccurate?

Material CFRP Mettler Toledo DSC 821e Heated up to 160 Deg C Cooled to 50 Deg C Heated again to 250 Deg C Equipment is equipped with a cooler as well. NO2 used as purging gas
