Is it OK for me copyright-wise to use figures, which I drew myself and published in earlier papers, unchanged in a new paper, in a new journal?

I have often wondered about this, have asked the question at conferences, and never got a clear answer. If it is not OK, could I expect repercussions? Am I being pedantic?
