Why am I getting negative value of cps of chromium in my blank (2% nitric acid) in ICP-OES ?

When I ran my blank which is 2% nitric acid in ICP-OES, I get negative values of cps which causes the RSD to be higher than 10%. I think it may be due to detector ... Can anyone help me to solve...
