Farmers are rooted in land and land doesn't move, however, industrial sector are having different form including virtual organization also. So they move to unite. Now I think technology should move farm to farm and unite farmers as soon as possible
Industrialists are only "united" on a global basis in the matter of trade. Farmers are also united in that sense; nations do sell food to each other. Any further unification in economic terms would be transgressing across into politics i.e. advancing communistic agendas with all of their historically negative effects.
As for internal unification of productivity within nations, its definitely a good idea for India. In America, farmers are already sharing technology effectively i.e. co-operatives move equipment like giant harvesters from farm to farm at peak seasons. In any case, "unification" occurs through the capitalistic system; ownership of the land has been amalgamating for some time; incorporated farmers are getting bigger and bigger while small(er) farming entities are disappearing.
If you're talking about the total unification of laborers however, that will probably only happen in America if or when extreme socialists/communists take over all forms of government; a rather difficult goal I should think and hope.
