A “double mutant” variant of the coronavirus has been detected in India. Such double mutants have been found to escape the neutralizing antibodies and increase infectivity. This means that this virus if mutated in the right way could infect those who have already recovered from an earlier Covid-19 infection or who have been vaccinated, but the reinfections could be mild.
Moreover, carelessness on the part of the people has caused this rise during the second wave. Not following the covid norms such as wearing face mask and maintaining social distance has also caused this sudden rise in covid-19 cases.

First of all, India is highly populated and many researches suggest that the acceptance of Covid-19 for second time is much higher than the first time, but the virulence decreases.
There is a chance that the new mutation is on its way!
Due to the large number of population and large testing doing these days. One other factor is that, the people in India not follow the strict rules of Covid-19 Spread.
COVID-19 positive rate is so higher in India during the second wave of this disease could be due to i) Mutant variant ii)Not obeying the strict COVID-19 safety protocol iii) lack of oxygen supply, ventilators, ambulance and beds in hospitals iv) running hospitals without vaccines.
COVID-19 positive rate is so higher in India during the second wave of this disease could be due to following reasons
(1) I think due to dense and large populations in India.
(2) I think emergence of new mutant variants of SARSCoV2 is the main reason for higher infection rate during the second wave of COVID-19 in India.
(3) Carelessness on the part of the people has caused this rise during the second wave. Not following the COVID-19 norms such as wearing face mask and maintaining social distance has also caused this sudden rise in covid-19 cases.
(4) Lack of oxygen supply, ventilators, ambulance and beds in hospitals
(5) Running hospitals without vaccines.
(6) Age condition above 45 for vaccination. In the beginning, It is given condition that above 45 is eligible for vaccination. This was wrong decision. If one family member is suffered which age is below 45 then other members also be affected. Maximum Covid cases in second wave are found from below age 45.
