Debate of brand drugs Vs generic drugs must be thoroughly reviewed at central & state level by getting data from different hospitals like private, semi private, trust based, municipal hospital and others by involving clinical pharmacy people with M Pharm pharmacology background which provides clear cut data regarding overall data regarding utilization of brand drugs & generic drugs.
Economic burden on common man will be reduced about drug utilization.
Mam, you are absolutely right, but this differs from pharmacoeconomics point of view. Private hospitals / major research institutes have to come up for this type of matter (pharmacogenomic analysis) or else government need to take necessary steps or provide Very specific grants for this type of studies.
But still major steps need to be taken in area of pharmacoeconomics & overall utilization of diff. category of drugs.
