Of course the best choice would be stainless steel, which has excellent appearance showing no corrosion but it is too costly compare to aluminum alloy, which has also good enough strength and durability.
If one can afford, Silver would be the best. However, due to economic constraints and feasibility, Copper used to be the most commercially suitable material till about say ten years back. As the prices of copper were shooting up, it was felt to be too costly and the next best economic choice was Aluminum.
Whatever it be, the materials should be very good conductor of electricity and must have anti corrosive properties, and a good heat dissipating surface. All other features do not matter.
