This is a commercial-scale cultivation of Nostoc sphaeroides study. Nostoc sphaeroides Kützing is an endangered nitrogen-fixing cyanobacterium which mainly grows in rice fields in China. As a nutrient-rich Chinese traditional food, it is also valuable in medicinal and healthcare fields.
