As we know, there are three types of model to describe dispersive material, e.g. Drude, Lorentz and Debye. In their FDTD implementation, which model shall I choose in order to properly specify the loss tangent as in HFSS?
Since I used HFSS too long time ago, I don't know how to connect model and HFSS option.
But, in the case of models, it is related to material property
For example, the Drude model could describe exponentially decreased (not exact. w^-2) permittivity behavior which is common for metal (rich free-electron & intraband transition dominant). On the other hand, the Lorentz model is adequate for phonon resonance (polar material) which has a sharp resonance at a specific frequency range.
