The choice of case studies will depend on several factors, such as type of company, segment, size, among others. Since your research is about corporate storytelling I would suggest researching on referral companies such as Apple, Nike, Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Sodexo Health Care, but choose a segment to standardize your search, if you search for hotels choose only hotel companies, of computer equipment, choose similar companies. You can follow the path of small businesses that use corporate storytelling, not just big business.

As I believe it is important to learn from mistakes, I propose several companies whose business models were unsuccessful. The work you do can be quite shocking too. The "chosen" companies are Barings Bank, Newsweek, Tata Steel UK, Lotus (Renault paid a pound for the British F1 Formula 1 team in 2015), the English football teams Chelsea (1982) and Swansea City (2001).

Hello! I think that Apple and Microsoft are good cases. They’ve history about a lot of obstacles a long the way and innovation. Or... You can use Pixar. For me, that company have the most important example about management, specially Ed Catmull.

Consider organizations in your environment and see how they have weathered business disruptions in the recent past. Consider organizations like ExxonMobil, Total, Coca Cola, Tata, Proctor and Gamble, etc. They have good history and they exist in almost every country. The Business environment is a state of continuing flux. Take a look at small businesses in your clime. They may have unique challenges worth sharing.

I would recommend Virgin Group and especially the connection of business with personality of its owner. Richard Branson is doing a lot for successful storytelling of his company and he also enjoys it. A really great example, I believe.
