Factor XI deficiency is found in 8% of Ashkenazi Jews and often presents with mucousal bleeds.
Al;so known as Haemophilia C or Rosenthal syndrome .
It is an autosomal recessive disorder.
Females may present with menorrhagia but patients may bleed excessively during an operation.
