If there are indeed good reasons to expect 100% (complete) conversion ― reactions are often not complete in the actual laboratorial practice ― you may want to consider the possibility of contamination of the salt by previous exposure to atmosphere (hydration and/or carbonation), ion exchange with the vessel material, and carbonation of the aq. sol. by exposure to atmospheric CO2. Such contamination may result in pH deviation from what could be expected for a nearly pure salt sol. (5.7―7.6 at 25 °C, for 10.0 M aq. sol.). Also note that the salt is hygroscopic (deliquescent), what may induce weighing errors, particularly if the salt is not conveniently dried, so that either the anhydrous salt or a single pure hydrate is weighted. Quite often, undried hygroscopic salts actually consist of a mixture of two different hydrates, or between one hydrate and the anhydrous salt. After long time of sol. boiling or of being kept hot enough; a small quantity of salt may evaporate from sol., driven by is own equilibrium vapour pressure above the sol., which albeit very small compared with that of water, is not expected to be truly null. Reliable data on the equilibrium vapour pressure of salts above their aq. sol. is often difficult to find.
