Hello everyone. I try to electropolish Ni-Cr samples for TEM. I use a mixture of acetic and prechloric acid (90-10%). Temperature is about 25-30°C. I made the CVC, but the chart hasn’t any plateau. The inflection point is about 8-9V. But during electropolishing at this voltage, a sample is partially oxidized, but pitting is observed at some part of the sample. There is also a high gloss area.

Can you recommend something?
