Dear All,
this ixora mainly collected from teak planted forest floor of kaptai, rangamati area in 2017. Hardly 1 feet high.
Now growing in BAU botanical garden. Picture attaced.
Is this Ixora nigricans or other spp? get confused
Can any one confirmed it?

Hello Mr. Abdullah,
It may be Ixora predeepii Anoop et Harikrishnan. At least the floral characteristics superficially resemble this newly discovered species . Then again in agreement with Dr. Singh it could be I. cuneifolia as well.

Described by Roxburgh from the plants grown in Indian Botanic Garden and the seeds was brought from Dhaka, Bangladesh by Colonel Peter Murray.
Yes, this is Ixora cuneifolia, also seen growing naturally in the Andamans.
