The curriculum in developed countries varies. Generally they are pupil centred in theory but there are variations in practice. In the UK there is lots of play based learning. In Asia it is more practical and vocational.
Here in the US public schools, we utilize outdoor education, circle-based activities, Learning Opportunities Placement-based, play-based, nature walks, fieldtrips-based, parental involvement-based, etc. curriculum design/s/materials.
Curriculum studies should start from a study of the current conditions, then where they want to go, and how to get there. Thus the best curriculum is one that can accommodate and utilize the existing conditions in the school environment (natural environment and local wisdom) as part of learning activities and become a means of achieving what has been planned. For example, games that lead children to co-operate, learn math, tell stories in public, etc.
