First, if your goal is to compare different organizations (i.e., their performance on some measure), then this sounds more like a quantitative project.
If you do pursue a quantitative study, you may need to work with different units of analysis -- individuals for reports of worklife balance and organizations for performance measures. If that is the case, then you may need to do multi-level modeling for your statistical analysis.
Alternatively, for a qualitative study, you could pick a relatively small number of organizations and do a comparative case study.
