I need to delineate a large basin of area around 500000 km2 lying in the northern equator. I have used Asia Lambert conformal projection system but in the attribute table i get the value for the area about 50. I suspect the unit must be in degree square. can anyone suggest me the unit for the mentioned projection system? Thank you.
